Got the Monday blues? No? Good. Then you must have a job that means something to you.

But if you do feel depressed each time Monday morning rolls around, it may be time to consider how to go about finding more meaning in your work, or finding more meaningful work.

Here are some thoughts to ponder below.

There is a significant body of research illustrating the connection between work and our health. When we don’t do work that fulfills us, we are under stress. And stress is bad. There’s even a bigger body of research to show us that! Illness and disease, both mental and physical, are often linked to stress.

And from The Career Makeover Coach comes a post that reminds us that productivity for productivity’s sake does not bring purpose or satisfaction:

But a larger question remains: Did you do anything meaningful?

Meaningful work requires passion. Meaningful work aligns with your purpose. And meaningful work brings prosperity – for you and others.

Coaching challenge: Strive for meaningful work and banish meaningless busyness.

Best wishes for a productive and meaningful work week!
